Public Utilities - Billing & Payment

LOCATION

The Customer Service Office is located in Town Hall at 350 East Market Street. Office hours are from 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday. A customer service representative can be reached by calling 919-934-1377.

REQUEST FOR SERVICE

All customers must complete an application for service.

The customer must provide photo identification, social security number, and contact information. Non-residential accounts must provide a Federal Tax ID number and a signature by an officer of the corporation or the individual accepting responsibility for payment of the account.

BILL PAYMENT OPTIONS:

• Night Deposit (no cash)
• Bank Drafts
• Debit or Credit Cards
• Lock Box

Please enclose the bottom portion of your bill with your check or money order in the enclosed envelope for payments sent by mail.

PAYMENT TERMS

All utility bills are due and payable on or before the due date. A 5% penalty will be assessed on all past due accounts.

BILLING INFORMATION

Cycle One utility bills are mailed out on the 15th of each month. A bill is past due if payment is not received by 5 p.m. on the 5th of the following month.

Cycle Two utility bills are mailed out on the last day of each month. A bill is past due if payment is not received by 5 p.m. on the 20th of the following month.
