The Public Utilities Department is responsible for the overall maintenance of the town's electric, water and sewer infrastructure. This includes not only the maintenance of existing infrastructure, but the inspection of new infrastructure such as water and sewer lines to ensure that all applicable guidelines are met during the construction phase.
Public Utilities is also responsible for insuring the towns compliance with all State and Federal regulations regarding water quality issues for water and sewer as well as area lighting, meter reading and customer billing.
