Welcome to the Smithfield Farmers Market!
After a successful inaugural season in 2011, the Smithfield Farmers Market will reopen on Friday, April 13 for the 2012 Season!
The Smithfield Farmers Market will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm.

Our goal is to run and operate a Farmers Market of the highest quality with excellent vendors and products. We are currently accepting membership and vendor applications from local produce growers, plant/flower growers, honey producers, bakers, meat/cheese/egg producers, and craftsmen.
If you or someone you know would like to be a vendor at the Smithfield Farmers Market, please pass on this information. You may click on the “Resources” link and obtain member and vendor applications, as well as market guidelines.
If you would like more information, please call Tim Johnson or Laura Crumpler at 934-2148.
We look forward to seeing you at the Market!!

The food we eat nourishes us and gives us energy to live. The food we eat also needs energy to be grown, raised, transported, and stored. There are many factors that play a part in determining the environmental consequenses of food. One factor that can have quite an impact is where our food comes from. Was it raised locally, or did it travel great distances to get to us?
