Public Library Board of Trustees

The Library Board is governed by their By-laws. There are 12 members.  Six- appointed by Johnston County Board of Commissioners. Six-appointed by Town of Smithfield Councilmen. Terms are for three years. The Boards meets 1st Monday of January, March, and May. 2nd Monday of July and September. 1st Monday of November, 7:30 p.m. at the Library. There is no compensation.
