Town Boards

Get Involved!

The Town of Smithfield offers many ways for its citizens to become actively involved in its local government. In addition to the opportunity citizens have to express their thoughts and concerns at the Town Council meetings and public hearings, the Town of Smithfield citizens are encouraged to apply for one of many boards, commissions and committees.

Membership on the advisory boards is open to all Town of Smithfield citizens. Unless otherwise noted, the only requirement for service is that the applicant live in Smithfield. Compensation for service is noted after each description.

I encourage you to get involved in your community.

Mayor Norman R. Johnson
