The Smithfield Fire and Emergency Services would like to encourage all citizens to participate in the EMS Subscription Program. The program is designed to relieve members of the cost of ambulance transportation.

Smithfield Emergency Services is a combination emergency services organization proudly serving a community of approximately 22,000. Emergency and non-emergency services are provided to the citizens that live, work, and visit the Town of Smithfield. Emergency Calls are dispatched through the Johnston County 9-1-1 system. Paid personnel and volunteers are dispatched using voice pagers and respond based on the type of emergency with appropriate equipment and apparatus. Our department is organized within two divisions: Fire/Rescue Division and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division.
