Ava Gardner Festival Coming to Smithfield October 4-6

This year’s Ava Gardner Festival will be taking place on October 4th-6th in Downtown Smithfield! Fans of Ava will enjoy movies, guided tours, and the Ava Garnder Museum. 
Friday, take a tour through the museum then head down to the Neuse River Amphitheater for food trucks, concessions and "Pandora and the Flying Dutchman" at the Neuse River Amphitheater.
Saturday morning, the Howell Theatre will host a pre-screening talk by Rob Davis at 9:30 a.m. and then experience "Mogambo", which Ava earned an Academy Award for her role. In the afternoon, make plans from 1-3 pm to take a tour through Ava’s hometown and see her final resting place. Tickets are limited.
Sunday, Breakfast at Ava’s (at the museum) with deliciously brewed coffee , The Goddess Blend, A coffee designed for Ava herself. Sip your coffee while enjoying a film screening of One Touch of Venus in the museum’s theatre. Seats are limited so purchase your tickets in advance. The festival concludes with a documentary short on the stunning Ava!
