
July is National Parks & Recreation Month, and the Town of Smithfield Parks & Recreation Department is inviting the community to celebrate with a month full of activities for all ages. From family fun at the pool to sweet treats and community gatherings, there are plenty of opportunities to get outside, stay active, and enjoy everything Smithfield Parks & Recreation has to offer.
July Event Schedule
July 3 – Half-Off Day Passes
Celebrate the start of Parks & Recreation Month with 50% off day passes at the Smithfield Recreation & Aquatic Center (SRAC).
July 11 – Chocolate Lover's Social
1:00–3:00 p.m. | Smithfield Recreation & Aquatic Center
Chocolate lovers are invited to bring their favorite chocolate dessert to share while enjoying chocolate-themed trivia and fellowship. The cost is $5 per person for ages 8 and older. Registration is required by July 9.
July 17 – Pool Luau
5:00–8:00 p.m. | Smithfield Recreation & Aquatic Center
Spend a summer evening at the pool with music, snacks, the Wibit inflatable obstacle course, and a no-hands watermelon eating contest. Admission is $3 for children (ages 3–17) and $5 for adults (18+).
July 25 – Popsicles at the Pad
5:30–7:30 p.m. | Eva Ennis Splash Pad (502 Martin Luther King Jr Drive)
Cool off with free popsicles while enjoying an evening at the splash pad. This event is free and open to the community.
