WithersRavenel to Conduct Survey Work for Spring Branch Drainage Repairs
09/25/2024

Employees from WithersRavenel will be conducting detailed survey work beginning September 2024 through December 2024 in the vicinity of the following areas as part of the Spring Branch Drainage Repairs project:

Second Street between Greenway Trail & E. Riverside Drive, and

Fourth Street between E. Church Street & E. Woodall Street.

The purpose of this project is to assess the feasibility of making improvements to stormwater infrastructure along Spring Branch for the purpose of mitigating flooding. As a part of the project, personnel will be required to collect topographic survey shots along with measurements of the Spring Branch canal and other infrastructure including manholes, pipes, etc. throughout the project areas. Access to these various storm structures will be accomplished by using rights-of-way, easements, and common areas to the maximum extent practicable but access to private property will be required. In order to proceed with the work involved, we may have to access the properties indicated to take measurements or place temporary survey markers to gather field information that is not visible from the other access areas. Below is a picture of a typical WithersRavenel field truck for reference:
