The public is hereby notified that the Town of Smithfield, in accordance with N.C. General Statute, Chapter 159, has submitted to the Town Council a copy of the proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. A copy of the proposed budget may also be reviewed in the Office of the Town Clerk.

The Town Council has called for a public hearing to be held on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers, located at 350 East Market Street, Smithfield, NC, for the purpose of receiving comments on the proposed budget. For those unable to attend the Council Meeting, comments can be submitted to the Town Clerk by email or via mail on or before June 3, 2025 at:
