Downtown Smithfield is especially magical in December, when the storefronts are beautifully decorated for Christmas and the Town decks the halls for the season!  The DSDC hosts Christmas Carriage Rides to give people a chance to enjoy the twinkling lights around our festive downtown! 

Free Christmas Carriage Rides will be offered from 5-8pm on Fridays, December 1, 8, 15, and 22. Reservations are required, and will open according to the following schedule:

December 1 Carriage Rides will open at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, and reservations can be made at https://form.jotform.com/233284354720050.

December 8 Carriage Rides will open at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 30, and reservations can be made at https://form.jotform.com/233305091875154.

December 15 Carriage Rides will open at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, and reservations can be made at https://form.jotform.com/233305900497153.

December 22 Carriage Rides will open at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 3, and reservations can be made at https://form.jotform.com/233305770275152.

Our carriages can typically accommodate groups of 4-6, depending on the carriage and the size of the riders.  Carriage rides typically last about ten minutes.
