Recreation Advisory Committee

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee is made up of up to 13 Town residents appointed by the Town Council. Two members may be high school students, who can serve terms of up to two years. A member of the Town Council also serves on the committee as an ex-officio member.

Committee members are appointed by the Town Council and serve three-year terms.

The committee works with the Parks and Recreation Department, Town Manager, and Town Council to help guide parks and recreation programs, services, and future planning efforts. The committee may provide recommendations on:

  • Parks and recreation programs and policies
  • Facilities and services
  • Department planning and priorities
  • Budget and financial matters
  • The purchase or use of park land and recreation properties
  • Long-range planning for parks and recreation in the community

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 a.m.
