SPECIAL EVENTS
SMITHFIELD'S GOT TALENT
Entry Requirements:
- Submit a video by email to tiffany.pearson@smithfield-nc.com.
- The video must be no longer than five minutes.
- Please include your Name, Phone number in the Email.
- Entries are final once submitted; no changes are allowed afterward.
- Videos must be submitted by May 25th.
Performance Rules:
- Acts must be safe and suitable for all ages.
- No profanity, sexual references, or inappropriate material in music, lyrics, or dancing.
- Prohibited items include fire, pyrotechnics, live animals, glitter, sand, and sharp objects.
- Audio must be submitted in MP3 format.
- Singers must use MP3s with no lead vocals.
- A basic microphone and sound system are provided.
- Performers must bring their own instrument or special props.
- Only one instrument per act is allowed.
- Setup should take 2 to 3 minutes or less.
Event Details
- Selected videos will be invited to perform at Smithfield's Got Talent night.
- The live show will be on June 13th at the Neuse River Amphitheater.
- Final performances will be judged by three judges.
Judging Criteria
- Talent/Technique: Skill level displayed
- Stage Presence: projection, confidence, and audience interaction
- Creativity: originality of the performance
- Appearance: appropriate costumes and presentation

2026 River Jam Concert Series
Located: 150 S Front Street, Smithfield, NC 27577 - Neuse River Amphitheater
All Concerts start at 7:00pm. Food starts at 6:30pm. Bring a blanket or chair and come enjoy the show.

JULY 17TH - POOL LUAU
Location: Smithfield Recreation & Aquatic Center 600 M Durwood Stephenson Pkwy
Time: 5pm-8pm Cost: $3 children (3-17) $5 adults 18+
There will be snacks, Wibit Exhibit, music, No hands watermelon eating contest
JULY 25TH POPSICLES at the PAD
Location: Eva Ennis Splash Pad 502 MLK, JR BLVD., Smithfield NC Time: 5:30pm - 7:30 pm

2026 RIVER RAT REGATTA
Date: August 8th / Rain date: August 22nd (If the River is too high for outdoor makeup we will do an indoor race at the Smithfield Recreation and Aquatic Center ( 600 M Durwood Stephenson Pkwy)
