BASEBALL

Registration begins January 5th, and continues until February 11th for Youth Baseball.  Our Baseball Program is open to boys ages 7-12.  (Their age as of 5/1/22 determines playing age.)  Ages are broken down as follows:  7/8, 9/10 and 11/12.

Registration fee is $25 for Smithfield Residents, and $50 for Non-Smithfield Residents.  (Smithfield Residents are defined as residing within the incorporated City limits of the Town of Smithfield.)  If you have multiple siblings registering to play the same sport, you are eligible for discounts, however, in order to get those discounts, you must register in-house.

Practices should begin mid-March with games beginning in April.  Season should run until the beginning of June.

Each player will be responsible for his own batting helmet.  (Helmets usually last 2-3 years.)  A glove and cleats are needed as well.  Bats are optional, but with COVID-19 we encourage each child to bring their own bat.

COVID-19 Protocols:  We are currently working within the Southern Johnston Baseball Association to develop Covid-19 protocols.
